About

About Tru.

Tru is a Dubai home-maintenance subscription. AC, plumbing, electrical, handyman and emergencies — handled by a salaried team, logged on every visit, signed off when the work is done.

Standards we hold

UK-trained, internationally certified.

Tru's technical leadership trained in the UK under the country's electrical and trade-quality standards, and operates in Dubai under international engineering and safety bodies whose standards inform local regulations.

  • City & Guilds, UK

    City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical

Trained to BS7671, the British wiring regulations standard. The qualification most UK residential electricians hold.

  • NICEIC and FMB, UK

NICEIC + Federation of Master Builders

The UK's electrical-trade certification framework and master-builder body. Held by Tru's UK-trained technical leadership.

  • TrustMark, UK Government

    TrustMark — Government Endorsed

The UK's only government-endorsed residential trade quality scheme.

  • UAE Local Regulatory Standard

    Advanced Electrical Training

Local code training on top of UK foundations — what's wired in Dubai isn't always wired the same way.

  • IOSH, International

    IOSH Managing Safely

Occupational-safety qualification used across UK construction and trades. Embedded in how we run every visit.

  • ASHRAE Falcon Chapter, UAE

    ASHRAE Associate Member

ASHRAE's HVAC and indoor-air standards are written directly into Dubai's building regulations.

  • NADCA, International

    NADCA ACR-2025 Standard

The most rigorous international HVAC cleaning benchmark — the standard we work to.

Operating licences

Licensed in Dubai.

Property-maintenance work in the UAE is governed by overlapping licensing regimes from Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and the Department of Economy & Tourism. Tru operates under each of them.

  • Dubai Municipality

    Consultants & Contractors Register

Company-level registration covering electromechanical, sanitary, and general contracting scopes.

  • DEWA

    Electrical Contractor Enrolment

Required for any electrical work tying into the DEWA network.

  • Dubai Municipality (Public Health)

    Water Cleaning Operator

Local Order 61/1991 and guideline DM-HSD-GU44-LCWS2, covering water tank cleaning and disinfection.

  • Department of Economy & Tourism

    Commercial Trade Licence

The underlying licence to operate as a maintenance company in Dubai.

A unified Contractor Register, established under Dubai Law No. 7 of 2025, comes into effect on 8 January 2026. The licences above will migrate under it; we re-verify our enrolment ahead of each renewal.

How we work

How we work.

  • Documented

Every visit is logged, photographed, and signed off. Your home gets a paper trail.

  • Salaried

Our technicians are on the payroll, not contracted out. The person who came last time is the person who comes next time.

  • Accountable

You don't pay for the same fix twice. If something we serviced fails within the year, we come back free.
